Dilip Patil : Basic ring theory, examples of rings, UFD and PIDs definition and examples,example of Mobius algebra,Gauss’ theorem, chain conditions on ideals, ACC and DCC,  Noetherian rings and Artianian rings, modules, noetherian and artinian modules, examples, Hilbert’s basis theorem
H Ananthnarayan: Integral  extensions, definition and examples, determinantal trick, integral closure of rings and examples, Dedekind domain and examples, ideal  factorization in Dedekind domain,  DVRs and examples, equivalent conditions for ring being DVR.
S A Katre:Affine varieties and examples, irreducible varieties and decomposition of a variety into its irreducible components,  Ideals-Varieties correspondence, Hilbert’s basis theorem,  Hilbert’s Nullstellensatz,  points at infinity, Bezout’s theorem and examples.
S. M. Bhatwadekar: Affine k-algebras and examples, algebraically independent elements, Noether’s normalization theorem, Hilbert’s Nullstellensatz.
Ganesh S. Kadu :Review of one variable division algorithm, Monomial orders in n variable polynomial ring, division algorithm in n variable polynomial ring,  initial ideals,  Dickson’s lemma, Hilbert basis theorem, Groebner bases, Buchberger’s S-pair criterion,  Buchberger’s algorithm for construction of Groebner bases, examples,  Introduction to Singular Package for Groebner basis computations.
